Aurélie Verrier, atypical cellist
« When I was six and a half, my grandmother asked me to play cello on her grave. Since then, my life has revolved around this wooden boy. »
Promesse held, Aurélie Verrier composer and cellist first classical then in love with Jazz, performed in quartet in the role of bassist in Paris at Flamingo, while continuing to study at the CNR in Paris. Among his performances were Michel Sardaby, Jean-François Jenny Clarke, Jean-Jacques Ruhlmann big band, Richard Galliano with the cello octuor of Jacques Bernaert, Rido Bayonne, Pierre Blanchard, Alpha Blondy, Niels Arestrup, « Piaf the shadow of the street » Thomas Bellorini« Yerma », « Imaginary operetta »Jean Bellorini,«Apollo »Jean-Louis Trintignant, his quartet « The Fantastic Dieze »,the Shuntaro Sato Sakura orchestra, more recently the Musikaa or Duo orchestra with Francis Varis and Potluck (Jazz ensemble)
Aurélie Verrier creates her own shows: « Crochambule an atypical recital »,« A giraffe at the sea »« I'm not a violin. That's what you think. ».
She has been performing since 2022 with CellosDrums, a trio with Nathalie Lethuillier and Eric Capitaine, music playing from classical to jazz through her original compositions as well as « AV.EC » jazz training with guests such as Ivan Chavez or Franck Guicherd ..and regularly participates in all music recordings, the last in November2023 at Studio Gobelins for Brazilian album arranged by Emmanuel Massarotti.
His last creation: « SOMETHING IN BÂBORD » Symphonic poem created with the Orchestre Symphonique de Chartres in Luisant (28) in January 2025, at Chartres theatre.
Aurélie Verrier recorded four albums of original compositions:« A fantastic Dieze » « I'm not a cello you think I am! » « A giraffe at the sea » and « Painting on Olive, Aurélie Verrier & Guests » album where she invited: Stan Laferriere, Francis Varis, Eric Capitaine, Nathalie Lethuillier, Olivier Lafferiere, Jeremy Laferriere to play his original compositions, electro, jazz and song. as well as an unpublished by Richard Galliano
